To promote groups and personal profiles on Odnoklassniki, use campaigns with the "VKontakte, OK, Mini Apps, Zen" ad object. This campaign type helps deliver your ads in a way that maximizes conversions for your group or profile.
This campaign type is suitable for small and medium-sized business owners who advertise independently or through an agency.
You can promote a group, profile, or individual post within a group. Campaigns can be optimized in several ways:
- to get more group members (target action: Joining the group);
- to get more profile followers (target action: Follow profile);
- to get more messages to a group or profile (target action: Sending message);
- to promote a post from a group or profile: engage your audience by liking and sharing your post (target action: Promote a post).
The system will generate an advert that will be shown in the feed in the Odnoklassniki social network in the mobile and web versions.
Campaign creation
Step 1: Setting up a campaign
- To create a new campaign, in the Campaigns section of the Campaigns tab, click Create.
- Select the VK, ОК, Mini Apps, Dzen advertising object.
- Select the group or profile you want to promote from the drop-down list.
Requirements for promotional objects
- Group
If you are promoting a group, make sure it is open, otherwise you will not be able to start the promotion.
- Profile
If you're promoting a personal profile, make sure it's linked to the VK ID used to create your VK Advertising account. To link your OK profile to your VK ID:
- Click your photo thumbnail in the upper right and select Edit settings.
- Select Security and VK ID → Connect VK ID.
- If you already have a VK ID, you'll see your account information and a prompt to select it for linking. If the suggested account is correct, click its avatar to confirm. If you need to link a different account, select Log in to another account, enter the phone number of the desired VK ID account, and click Continue. Follow the on-screen prompts.
- If you don't have a VK ID, click Create an account. Enter your phone number and fill in your information. Learn more about authorization via Odnoklassniki
It's also important that your page:
- be open to all users
- be created at least 40 days ago
- have two-factor authentication configured
- Post
If you're promoting a post, make sure the text doesn't contain more than 5 emojis or words in all capital letters. The post must comply with all Advertising Rules
Edit the post if necessary:
- Go to Odnoklassniki and find the desired post/
- Make any necessary changes.
- Return to VK Advertising and continue creating your ad.
- Create a new campaign with this post.
4. Target Action. Defines the group of users to be targeted by the smart algorithm.
- Join group - for adverts with the Join button.
- Write message - to redirect the user to the message section to receive a question or request.
5. Campaign budget optimisation. The setting allows you to distribute the allocated budget between all your adverts so that you get more targeted actions. The optimisation algorithm determines which ads perform better and allocates them a larger share of the daily campaign budget. This ensures that the campaign performs better. 6. Campaign Bid Strategy. Allows you to limit the maximum bid or minimise spend to achieve the best results within the specified budget. Read More
7. Budget. The setting limits the amount that can be spent per day or for the entire duration of the campaign. Read more
8. Dates. The period of campaign running. This setting applies to all ads in the campaign. It is mandatory to specify only when selecting the “all time” budget.
If you want to set different dates for different groups, do not use this setting, but set the dates in step 2. Ad groups.
Step 2: Setting up ad set
One ad set can include one or several adverts with common settings.
Set the necessary targeting: regions of display, gender and age of users, interests and behaviour, user audiences.
In the Placements block you can choose the platforms where your adverts will be broadcast. Currently, only the Odnoklassniki feed (mobile and web versions) is available for video promotion.
Step 3: Setting up the ad
Group and profile advertising
After setting up the ad sets, proceed to creating the adverts.
- The logo (icon) for the advert will be loaded automatically from the group avatar. The logo can be replaced - click Replace and upload a new image of at least 256x256px.
- The title of the advert will be loaded automatically from the group name. If you want to change it, enter text up to 40 characters.
- Description - the text of the advert, up to 16 384 characters.
- If necessary, fill in the advertiser's details - legal information about the company.
- Add media files.
The “Advertiser data” field in the campaign settings is intended for legal information about the company or IE. It is mandatory to fill in your data if you advertise goods and sell them online. In other cases (for example, if you advertise services or an offline store), the field should be left blank.
In “Campaign Data” you can write only legal information: company name or name of an individual entrepreneur, address with a zip code, OGRNIP or TIN. No other text is allowed.
- Image requirements
- Aspect ratio: 1:1, 16:9.
- Resolution: for 1:1 - 600x600px, for 16:9 - 1080x607px. If the resolution is higher than recommended, you can crop the image to the required one.
- File weight: up to 5 Mb.
- Format: jpg, png.
Images must comply with the rules: be of good quality, without using aggressive colours. Do not use images with margins. If there is text in the image, check that it takes up no more than 20% of the space. Familiarise yourself with the Advertising Rules.
- Video requirements
- Aspect ratio: 1:1, 16:9.
- Minimum width: 600 px.
- Video duration: not more than 300 sec.
- File weight up to 90 Mb.
- Video format: mp4, mpeg, avi, mov. List of codecs
- Video resolution - from 640x360 (recommended: 1280x720, 1920x1080). We advise you to upload a video with the resolution specified for this ad format in the interface - this way you will be able to run the advert at once without editing the video file and its offset. There is no option to edit the video file and its offset in the interface.
The video must not mislead the user. A video with buttons or other elements that duplicate services will not pass moderation. In addition, it cannot contain visible artefacts, distortion of proportions and other errors. Low quality and highly compressed videos will not be accepted. Please read the Advertising Rules.

Аdvertising publication
To advertise an entry from a group or profile, an ad is created automatically. Its main elements are pulled from the record itself:
- Ad title - the name of the group or profile.
- Ad text - the text of the post.
- Image - picture from the post.
You can select an entry from the list of recent entries or search for it by clicking the magnifying glass icon on the right above the list and entering a link to the post or a few words from the post text. To search for a post by link and see a preview of the ad, log in to VK Advertising via your Odnoklassniki profile.
