Integration of applications from Huawei AppGallery with trackers

To advertise applications from Huawei AppGallery, you need to complete the preparatory steps: 

1. Set up integration with a mobile tracker: add your application to the tracker and create a tracking link for it. Instructions for different trackers:

• myTracker
• Adjust
• AppMetrica
• Appsflyer

2. Add the application to your VK Ads account. More details

3. Confirm the status of the Application Owner or gain access to the application. More details

4. After that, you can proceed to creating an advertising campaign

To add a new application from AppGallery to myTracker, complete the following settings:

1. go to the “Applications” page and then click the “Add button” or click the “+” icon next to the “Applications” menu item.

2. select the Android platform

3. indicate the current status of the app

4. аdd the link to the app from Huawei AppGallery by selecting the “AppGallery” option and click the “Continue” button

Note that you must remove the # (sharp) symbol from the link.

5. add the icon and name of the app

6. select the account and project according to your tasks

To create a tracking-link for an application from AppGallery, complete the following settings:

1. go to the “Campaigns” page and then click the “Add” button or click the “+” icon next to the “Campaigns” menu item.

2. fill in all the required fields of the form and in the “Partner” dropdown list, select the “VK Ads + myTarget” option

3. in the “Tracking-links” tab, fill in all the required fields: name, application from AppGallery, and target link. For the target link, select the “AppGallery link” option

4. click the “Add” button

5. copy and save the click tracking link — it will be needed when creating an advertising campaign in VK Ads

To add a new application from AppGallery to Adjust, complete the following settings:

1. click on the “AppView” menu item in the right sidebar menu

2. click the “New app” button
3. in the pop-up window, enter the name of your application and select the currency
4. click the “Add app” button

5. specify the platform for this application by clicking the “Add platform” button

6. select Android and the Huawei AppGallery app store

7. enter the AppGallery application ID in the App ID field

8. click the “Save” button

Creating tracking-links for an application from Huawei AppGallery is no different from other app stores and is detailed in the article.

To add a new application from AppGallery to AppMetrica, complete the following settings:

1. on the AppMetrica main page, in the drop-down list of applications, click the “Add app” button

2. enter the name of the application and specify the time zone for reports

To create a tracking link for an application from AppGallery, complete the following settings:

1. in the sidebar menu, click on “Tracking” and select “Create tracker”
2. in the tracker creation form, enter its name and in the Media source dropdown list, select “VK Ads (ex. myTarget)”
3. in the target link settings, select Android as the platform
4. add the target link by specifying its name and providing the direct link to your application in Huawei AppGallery

5. click the “Save” button

6. copy and save the tracking link — it will be needed when creating an advertising campaign in VK Ads

To add a new application from AppGallery to Appsflyer, complete the following settings:

1. click on the "My apps" menu item on the left

2. click “Add app”

3. select the platform “Android, AndroidTV, Fire”

4. indicate that the application is in a third-party app store by selecting the option “Published out of store”

5. provide the necessary application settings and click the "Next" button

6. provide additional information: the currency in which Appsflyer reports will be generated, as well as the time zone in which the statistics will be displayed. Also, specify whether the application is intended for children or not

To create a tracking link for an application from AppGallery, complete the following settings:

1. go to the "Active Integrations" menu item on the left
2. from the dropdown list, select your application under "App" and choose the integration partner

3. go to the "Attribution link" tab

4. select the link type “Use a single-platform link”

5. if necessary, adjust the attribution window duration by changing the value of the "Click-through lookback window" slider

6. copy and save the link from the "Click attribution link" field for click tracking — it will be needed when creating an advertising campaign in VK Ads

If you use a dashboard per store, specify the following value in the “Channel Name” parameter to correctly detect installations and internal events for apps from AppGallery:

• Channel name = appgallery

To add an application, go to the "Mobile Application" section, click "Add Application," and enter the link to the application. Detailed instructions

After adding the application to the ad account, the system will generate a code. Copy it and proceed to set up the integration with the tracker.

Depending on the tracker, this code needs to be inserted into a specific parameter when adding your application to the tracker. Detailed instructions

Generate a tracking link with this parameter and create an advertising campaign in the VK Ads account. The status of the Application Owner will appear as soon as VK Ads receives a postback with our code.
