Product Groups

Product groups are a tool for product feed segmentation. Goods and services from the same product feed can be collected into groups based on different characteristics and then used in advertising campaigns. For example, identify users who have interacted with product group A and show them only products from product group B.

To create a product group:

1. Open the Commerce Center tab.
2. From the list, select the desired catalog.
3. Go to the Groups tab and click Create Group.
4. Select Use filters from the drop-down list.
5. In the window that appears, enter the name of the product group in the Name field.
6. Use the available filters to select your products. For example, you can use the discount filter to select products that have a 50% discount. With custom labels you can create product groups using arbitrary values or select cars without mileage using the mileage filter.
7. Click Save.

To create a product group:

1. Open the Commerce Center tab.
2. From the list, select the desired catalog.
3. Go to the Groups tab and click Create Group.
4. From the drop-down list, select Select items manually.
5. In the window that appears, enter the name of the product group in the Name field.
6. Manually select the desired products from the list of feed items.
7. Click Save.

To create a product group:

1. Open the Commerce Center tab.
2. From the list, select the desired catalog.
3. Go to the Groups tab and click Create Group.
4. From the drop-down list, select Select items manually.
5. In the window that appears, enter the name of the product group in the Name field.
6. Click Add to list.
7. In the window that appears, enter the IDs of the products from the feed, on the basis of which you will create a group of products.
8. Click Add to group → Save.

The custom tag filter allows you to create product groups using optional custom_label_N tag values, where N is a number from 0 to 4:
<custom_label_0>Promo</custom_label_0>.
<custom_label_1>Spring/Summer 2022 </custom_label_1>.

Custom labels in the feed allow you to flexibly form the product groups. For example, if an advertiser wants to create a product group with a promotion, they can add a custom_label_0 tag with the value "Promo" for each such product and then use the "Custom Label 0" filter in the VK Ads interface to search for such products.

One product can have up to 5 such custom labels at a time.

The discount is calculated automatically on the basis of the difference between the values of the Price and Old price items of the product feed.

To view product groups:

1. Open the Commerce Center tab.
2. From the list, select the desired catalog.
3. Click the Groups tab.

To edit a product group:

1. Open the Commerce Center tab.
2. From the list, select the desired catalog.
3. Go to the Groups tab.
4. In the list of product groups select the desired group and click Edit.
5. Make your changes.
6. Click Save.

If you need to create several groups with similar composition, use the Create a similar group setting:

1. Open the Commerce Center tab.
2. From the list, select the desired catalog.
3. Go to the Groups tab.
4. In the list of groups, select the desired group and click "...".
5. Click Create a similar group.
6. A form with the parameters of the group you want to copy will open.
7. Click Save.

This will create a copy of the existing group. Then you can change new group and save it.

To delete a product group:

1. Open the Commerce Center tab.
2. From the list, select the desired catalog.
3. Go to the Groups tab.
4. In the list of product groups, select the desired group and click "...".
5. Click Delete.
   • If the group is not used in promotional campaigns, confirm the deletion with the Delete button.
   • If the group is used in promotional campaigns, confirm the deletion with the Delete and stop campaigns button.
